The chapel as it exists today is still largely the same as when it was built in 1700. The builder was Lady Wilbraham widow of the last baronet. She endowed it with £20 p.a. for the minister.
According to Calamy, Lady Wilbraham was known as "the pious Lady Wilbraham at Woodhey"

It is still largely unchanged and unspoilt. It is covered with good dark oak and is lit by large white candles. It has a polished wood atmosphere and with its simple charm is a lovely survivor in a hidden spot. interior woodhey chapel
