| History The first evidence of a church on this site is in the will of Robert Sydyngton in 1474. The first church was a timber framed wattle and daub building and perhaps thatched. The roof was then covered with Keridge flag-stones which were so heavy that the walls couldn't support them and began to bulge. In 1815 the whole building was then encased in red brick which was painted both inside and out in black and white to resemble the original timbers underneath. |

| The interior The church has a 14th century screen that separates the nave and chapel. According to Ray Rush writer of a welcome pamphlet to the church "It was originally brightly painted and guilded with other carvings on top. It shows indentions the adze used to shape the thicker wood" |
